GIS Workshop Training

Introduction to GIS
Thursday, April 27 - 9AM - Noon
Honnold/Mudd Library - Keck Learning Room

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an increasingly ubiquitous technology in research, education, and our daily lives. Scholars are discovering the usefulness of GIS data in non-traditional fields such as the humanities and social sciences. The following short workshops serve as both an introduction to GIS and to its application within an academic & administrative environment. All workshops are in the Keck Learning Lab in the Honnold Library. Data and documentation for the following GIS workshops is made available in the Keck Learning Lab. More information and resources available at http://athena.libraries.claremont.edu/~warrenr.

These workshops are free to faculty, students and staff at the colleges. The workshop space is limited to the number of computers. To reserve space in this workshop, please email or phone the Libraries GIS Specialist, Warren Roberts gis.support@libraries.claremont.edu or (909) 607-0405.
