Protecting Your Laptop
As school gets started one of the things to be thinking about, is how to keep your laptop, if you have one, safe. LifeHacker provides a range of security options to consider to help ensure you successfully keep your laptop secure. The options move from lock and key, to laptop alarms and security cameras, to retrieval options, and finally to other considerations. Of course, as pointed out in comments, step zero might be simply not leaving your laptop unattended, but it’s probably worth considering additional steps.
Regardless, this is about more than just losing your expensive computer, you’re also losing your school work (unless you’re backing up). Even worse, as LifeHacker points out, is that with all the personal data we store on our computers, there is also the issue of identity theft.
