Kindle Review
The Amazon Kindle has been out for awhile now, and is getting more and more reviews. One of the more more recent popular reviews of the Kindle is from Robert Mohns at MacInTouch. Mohns has a fair amount of praise for the Kindle, particularly as a tool for “de-cluttering” for those who like to reread books and use them for reference. He goes through the various features including design, battery and memory, the browser, storage, audiobooks, and more. Finally, he provides a list of pros and cons that definitely favors the pros, although he’s clear that the Kindle isn’t for everyone.
And of course, not everyone is a fan of the Kindle. For more, see Joel Johnson’s review on BoingBoing and also Cory Doctorow’s “In the age of ebooks, you don’t own your library” on BoingBoing.
In the end, as Mohns points out, “Even with all its advances, electronic readers are in their infancy.” So, even if they are’t there yet, it’ll be exciting to see what the future holds as eReaders develop.
