Sci-Fi Wednesday: Hexagon on Saturn
While it might sound more like sci-fi, it's actually just plain science: there is a hexagon "feature" that is rotating on Saturn's north pole. NASA's "Cassini Images Bizarre Hexagon on Saturn" explains that
The hexagon is similar to Earth's polar vortex, which has winds blowing in a circular pattern around the polar region. On Saturn, the vortex has a hexagonal rather than circular shape. The hexagon is nearly 25,000 kilometers (15,000 miles) across. Nearly four Earths could fit inside it.
The article even shows a movie (larger movie) showing the rotation, and it is certainly a strange thing to see.
